04 Master’s Programmes Of International University – VNU HCM Have Achieved ASIIN Accreditation
International University – Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City (IU-VNU HCM) is honored and proud to announce that 04 master’s degree programmes have officially been accredited by ASIIN (Accreditation Agency for Degree Programs in Engineering, Informatics, Natural Sciences and Mathematics – Federal Republic of Germany), including:
1. Master of Information Technology (School of Computer Science and Engineering);
2. Master of Engineering in Electronics Engineering (School of Electrical Engineering);
3. Master of Engineering in Food Technology (School of Biotechnology – Department of Food Technology);
4. Master of Science in Biotechnology (School of Biotechnology).
ASIIN (Accreditation Agency for Study Programs in Engineering, Informatics, Natural Sciences and Mathematics) is a prestigious accreditation organization within the system of the European Network for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA). In Vietnam, ASIIN is authorized to conduct evaluation and accreditation activities for higher education institutions and academic programmes at all higher education levels in the fields of natural sciences, engineering, mathematics and statistics, computer science and information technology, as well as educational sciences and teacher training. ASIIN’s quality certifications are globally recognized as valid assurance of quality in higher education.
The rigorous external evaluation for 04 master’s programmes was conducted by the ASIIN Accreditation Committee from February 18 to 21, 2025. Based on the assessment of the self-evaluation reports, evidence, and in-depth interviews with faculty, students, alumni, and employers, ASIIN officially recognized that 04 programmes fully meet international quality standards and granted accreditation valid until July 18, 2026. With this achievement, the total number of ASIIN-accredited master’s programmes at IU-VNU HCM has increased to 5 out of 11 master’s programmes. Additionally, the university currently has 19 undergraduate programmes accredited by prestigious international quality assurance agencies. These results demonstrate IU-VNU HCM’s strong commitment to ensuring high-quality education at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
04 Master programmes’s accreditation certificates
After this point, the programmes will undergo periodic improvement reporting as required, and if all recommendations are fully addressed, the accreditation validity may be extended until September 30, 2030 – the maximum duration permitted by ASIIN regulations.
