International University – VNUHCM Organized Workshop On “Experiences In Implementing Internal Quality Assurance Systems At Higher Education Institutions”
With the aim of enhancing professional capacity, updating knowledge and practical experience for lecturers and staff, while also creating a forum for exchange, learning, and sharing experiences in the field of educational quality assurance, on the morning of October 23, 2025, International University, Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City (IU-VNUHCM) organized Workshop on “Experiences in implementing internal quality assurance systems at higher education institutions”.
The workshop was honored to welcome Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dinh Duc Anh Vu, Vice President of International University – VNUHCM, together with two distinguished guest presenters:
– Dr. Vo Thi Tuyet Giang – Deputy Head of the Office of Examination and Quality Assurance, University of Technology – VNUHCM;
– Dr. Nguyen Huy Phuc – Head of the Office of Testing and Quality Assurance, Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City; Head of Delegation and Team Leader for AUN-QA assessments.
The workshop was also pleased to receive representatives from the Center for Educational Testing and Quality Assessment, VNUHCM, along with Heads and Deputy Heads of the Offices of Testing and Quality Assurance from the member universities of VNUHCM.
In addition, school deans, quality assurance officers, lecturers, and administrative staff actively participated in the workshop, contributing to an engaging, professional, and collaborative academic atmosphere.
In the opening speech, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dinh Duc Anh Vu emphasized the importance of developing an Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) system. Quality assurance serves as a fundamental foundation for sustainable development, contributing to the enhancement of education, research, community service, and international integration.

Following the opening speech, the workshop program featured three presentation sessions covering practical and insightful topics:
1. Experiences in implementing internal quality assurance systems at International University; Presenter: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vong Binh Long, Head of Office of Quality Assurance and Testing, International University – VNUHCM.

2. Model and practices of implementing internal quality assurance systems at University of Technology; Presenter: Dr. Vo Thi Tuyet Giang, Deputy Head of Examination and Quality Assurance Office, University of Technology – VNUHCM.

Besides, the discussion session was lively and engaging, featuring numerous valuable insights and practical experiences shared by representatives who are leaders of Offices of Quality Assurance and Testing from member universities of VNUHCM. The questions focused on topics such as information systems for quality assurance, measurement of program learning outcome, internal evaluation activities, methods for collecting stakeholder feedback, quality improvement activities, coordination among units, and maintaining a quality culture within the university.

In the closing speech, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vong Binh Long acknowledged the valuable contributions of presenters and participants. He also affirmed that the workshop served as a practical and meaningful activity within the series of initiatives undertaken by International University to implement the key tasks assigned by the Ministry of Education and Training in Official Dispatch No. 6400/BGDDT-GDDH dated October 10, 2025, regarding the development of internal quality assurance systems and the promotion of a quality culture in accordance with Prime Minister’s Decision No. 78/QD-TTg.
At the end of the workshop, the university presented souvenirs of appreciation to the guest presenters and took commemorative photos, capturing meaningful moments of the workshop.

The workshop concluded in an open, collaborative, and sharing atmosphere, reflecting the strong commitment of International University – VNUHCM to continuously enhance the internal quality assurance system, moving toward international standards in higher education.
