Viet Nam Education Quality Management Agency, Ministry Of Education And Training, Organized An Online Training Conference “Training For Quality Assurance And Accreditation Teams On Self-Assessment And External Evaluation Of Academic Programs”

On the afternoon of May 28, 2025, the Viet Nam Education Quality Management Agency (VQA) organized an online training conference “Training for Quality Assurance and Accreditation Teams on Self-Assessment and External Evaluation of Academic Programs”.

At the connection point of International University (IU), VNU-HCM, the conference was attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vong Binh Long, Head of Office of Quality Assurance and Testing, along with all the faculty members responsible for quality assurance activities at the university.

The conference aimed to disseminate the latest updates in the policies on quality accreditation management of training programs under Circular No. 04/2025/TT-BGDĐT dated February 17, 2025. It also aimed to unify implementation practices and enhance awareness and capacity among personnel involved in higher education quality assurance and accreditation.

The conference took place with 04 main topics: 

  1. Key updates in the policy for quality accreditation management of training programs under Circular No. 04/2025/TT-BGDĐT, presented by Prof. Huynh Van Chuong, Director General of VQA;
  2. Guidelines on the new points in self-assessment of training programs, presented by Assoc. Prof. Ta Thi Thu Hien, Director of the VNU-Hanoi Center for Education Accreditation;
  3. Guidelines on the new points in self-assessment of training programs, presented by Assoc. Prof. Le Ngoc Quynh Lam, Director of the VNU-HCM Center for Education Accreditation;
  4. Experience sharing from the Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) of the United Kingdom regarding the core values, mission, and responsibilities of international accreditation organizations, according to the practices of accreditation organizations in the UK and Europe presented, by Dr. Tullio Lobetti, QAA expert;

During the discussion session, the conference received many questions and exchanges from different connection points, reflecting a special interest in the new points in Circular 04/2025/TT-BGDDT. For IU specifically, the training provided valuable information and served as a foundation for the university to review its quality assurance practices.

The conference concluded at 5:00 PM on the same day.
